Power Of Attorney
Power of attorney decisions according to your wishes
An EGIS Care Manager can serve as a primary or secondary power of attorney (POA) for you or your loved one, an especially important role if a person has diminished cognition. As your wishes dictate, the EGIS team will oversee your medical and/or financial decisions.
Two types of power of attorney
- Healthcare/medical power of attorney
- Durable financial power of attorney
The role of a healthcare/medical power of attorney
If you become incapacitated or too ill to represent yourself, the EGIS healthcare/medical power of attorney will implement your medical/healthcare wishes. This may include last day of life or end of life medical decisions.
The role of a durable/financial power of attorney
An EGIS durable/financial power of attorney can be the final authority to handle any financial transactions or money management decisions on your behalf.
