Jimmie lived a life of service. From volunteering at Pete’s Place and Kitchen Angels to supporting the International Folk Art Market, she gave her time freely and joyfully. But her heart found particular joy in the Santa Fe Opera. Jimmie’s retirement in Santa Fe was anything but quiet—she remained a force for kindness wherever she went.
When dementia began to reshape her journey, we were there every step of the way. We helped Jimmie remain in her beloved home for as long as possible. We ran errands, kept her fridge full, and made sure her days were filled with connection and comfort.
As her needs changed, Egis facilitated her transition into a memory care center. Afterwards, we continued to drive her on outings through the Santa Fe streets she loved, and celebrated her 85th birthday just days before she passed. Jimmie’s story is why we do what we do: every life deserves care that feels like family.
Thank you, Jimmie, for allowing us to walk beside you.
